1930-2011

      Donna Pearl Throckmorton Black passed away October 9, 2011 at the age of 81.

      Donna was born January 11, 1930 to Charles and Pearl Throckmorton of Guilford, who had preceded her in death.

      Donna graduated from Guilford High School in 1948 and went to nursing school and graduated in 1949.  Donna had been a resident of St. Joseph since. 1952. She was a member of Savannah Avenue Baptist Church.

      She is also preceded in death by two great-grandchildren.

      She is survived by five children: Gary Black (Yon Chae), Tacoma, Washington; Garland Black (Vickie) Sulphur, Louisiana; Brenda Creech, Waldorf, Maryland; Cheryl Daum, Waldorf, Maryland; Melinda Everett (Donnie), St. Joseph, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and brother Donald Throckmorton, Savannah, Missouri.

      Services:  1:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.  Inurnment Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Family will receive friends 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
