Elaine (Kaufman) Kranitz

1923 – 2012


      Elaine (Kaufman) Kranitz, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri, died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at her home.

      Mrs. Kranitz was born July 15, 1923, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She graduated from Central High School in 1941. She married Theodore Mitchell Kranitz June 11, 1944.

      She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of the Temple B’nai Sholem; life member Hadassah; and Temple Adath Joseph Sisterhood.

      Mrs. Kranitz was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Anna (Rosenthal) Kaufman; and brother, Donald Edward Kaufman.

      Survivors: her husband, Theodore M. Kranitz of the home; son Hugh David Kranitz, St. Joseph; daughters, Karen Kranitz Shebaro and husband Bassim D. Shebaro, San Antonio, Texas and Kathy Kranitz Sadoun, St. Joseph; two granddaughters, Iman Anna Shebaro and husband, Dan Hogg, and Dr. Rania Miriam Shebaro and fiancée, Dustin Johnson; niece, Cheryl Kaufman Freed, San Antonio; nephew, Richard Kaufman, Houston, Texas; and cousins.

     Services:  3:30 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Shaare Sholem Cemetery. The Family will receive friends 2:30 PM Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The Family suggests memorial gifts to donor’s choice.
