Robert Owen DeGrote, 34, St. Joseph, Missouri died Monday, April 9, 2012.
He was born September 25, 1977 to James Elwood and Elizabeth Ann (Wright) DeGrote in Goshen, New York.
Mr. DeGrote was employed by People’s Furniture, loved baseball, and was an avid bowler.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Jimmy.
Survivors: his father and step-mother, James DeGrote (Linda Borger), St. Joseph; his children, Devon, Kailey, and Dylan; sisters, Debra DeGrote (Dennis Johnston), Lenore Privett (Darrin), Lisa Feinberg (Steven), Sherri DeGrote, Elizabeth Padgett (Mike); numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The Family suggests memorial gifts to Diabetes Foundation.
So sorry to hear about Bobby, You will be missed by all who knew you back in the day and now. You touched everyone you ever met, that’s for sure. RIP Bobby

We were so so very shocked to hear of Bobby’s passing. Way too soon.! Our thought & prayers are with all of you & especially the children that he left behind. I will remember fondly that chubby little neighbor boy who had the biggest smile! Cherish the happy memories of your son, brother, and father.

words can never express the shock and loss that we all feel about Bobby’s death. All that i can say is that my heart is with all of my family when they deal with this pain. i love each and every one of my family members and will always remain here for them if they need a shoulder. bobby had a light that will never go out his amazing heart and wit will carry on in our memories forever. He will be missed by many people which in itself shows how much he loved life and everyone that he knew…. rest in peace Bobby….love you always shell
