Terrie, Ron and Family,
We were so sad to hear about Ida Lee. Ida Lee was the most Classy Lady we have ever known. She also had the biggest heart. She taught me how important shopping was in the early years of us visiting them. She always made you feel at home when we would visit. Rick was very fond of Leonard and Ida Lee. They were almost like another set of parents for him. Visiting with Leonard and Ida Lee was always so much fun. We would always stay up very late visiting. We would joke that we had to go to Missouri to catch up on the Vinton news. The kids would like to hear all the stories too! Leonard also taught the kids that it was perfectly acceptable to shoot the paper of the straw at each other in the Dairy Queen in Savannah. We still think of Leonard when someone does it to this day. My favorite picture was of the elaborate gift Leonard got Ida Lee for their anniversary. I can’t remember how many CARROTS were in that necklace Leonard made for Ida Lee. I think it was supposed to be like 50. Leonard is easily one of the most ingenious and smartest men I have ever known. His inventions were so cool! He was always showing Rick something new he came up with. Like the Home Made Hot tub he made for Ida Lee! And the seat that he modified to take her up and down the stairs! Thank you for sharing your amazing parents with our family.

Terrie and family-Your loss is our loss. Glen and I have been remembering all the fun times we have had in the past. Glen loved to tease Ida Lee that they were the outlaws and Leonard and I were the kissing cousins.Leonard was like a brother to me. When we were young our families spent so many Sundays together-Remember all the morel mushrooms the men would find down by the Cedar River. When they lived in Buchanan County we four went to a lot of dances and our trips to Mo. to visit you all were wonderful. All our love and sympathy to you all.Darlene and Glen
Terri, I am a class mate of your folks,
we started with 13 and 3 are left, Merle Hepker, Vaughn Hauser and me. Over the years we had many get togethers, several at your folks home.
Your dad could make anything, we were in high school and he made a set of tire chains for his bicycle. Your folks
certainly lived a full life. I hope you will have many memories and Mary and I will be thinking of you and your family. God Bless. Warren & Mary Richart

My memories of her are all so positive and fun and….she had such a unique voice and laugh that every time I think of her, I can hear her…and I smile. She will always hold a very special place in my heart.
