I am so sad over Dandy’s passing. I knew him for nearly 20 years and will miss him. My sympathies to his family.
It was a real joy to work with Randy when he worked for Sprint. His great advice, thoughtfulness, great sense of humor, and a willingness to help those in need are the things I like the most about Randy. He will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
It was a pleasure to have known Randy. We worked together at Sprint. I admired his sense of humor and his sense of calm during stressful moments. He will be missed.
Hawkins Family:
Be proud of Randy for the man he had become:
• Trusted friend
• Stuck to his convictions – did not waffle
• Counselor to those in need
• Great sense of humor
• Generous with his time and money
• Hardworking throughout his career
• Desired and sought-after team member
• Dedicated to noble causes
• Loved you all and spoke of you all often
Randy and I worked together several years in many different capacities over the past 16 years. That last year at Sprint was such a trying time and he stuck by me through many tough situations. Randy made that time better because he got things done, was true to his convictions, a man of his word and had my back.
We were in DC for a couple of years were we kept in close communication, texting frequently about our day. We were able to get together some weekends to eat, sometimes breakfast at IHOP or some noontime meal. We tried to arrange a couple of times to get to Atlantic City but were never able to pull it together. Once, we went to a newly opened casino nearby were we ended up just eating a nice steak lunch and returning back home. I was hoping to see Randy show off his poker playing ability I heard so much about and understood he was quite good.
I will always remember Randy for his friendship, strong character and for all he has done for me.
I pray you all to be comforted and find peace.
Randy’s eternal friend,
Gene Hurr
Cathy & Ron, please accept my sympathies in the loss of Randal. I will be praying for you and your family.
