Katherine E. Jones, 96, St. Joseph, Missouri died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born July 7, 1915 Fred and Flora M. (Cunningham) Deets in St. Joseph. Katherine remained a lifelong resident.
She married James E. Bunten, which ended in divorce. She then married Harrie E. Jones, Jr.
Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and was also employed by Noma Lights.
She enjoyed collecting antiques and once owned an antique store with her husband, Harrie Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Nancy Cobb; and sister, Edna Kout.
Survivors: daughter, Sue Gibbs (Terry), Santa Fe, New Mexico; granddaughter, Yvette Larson (Randall); grandson, Richard Gibbs (Jill); granddaughter, Michelle Lennox (Robert); granddaughter, Pamela Sue Newton (Andrew); Scott Cobb; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Rachel Larson, Alexandria Newton, Nicholas and Annbelle; and companion, Glenn “Doc” Hughes.
