Desmond “Eddie” Paul, 94, St. Joseph, Missouri died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at a local healthcare facility.
He was born August 19, 1917 in Camden Point, Missouri.
He married Melba Maxine Giddens on June 14, 1941. She preceded him in death on November 20, 2011.
Mr. Paul served in the United States Navy during both WWII and the Korean Conflict.
He worked as an Elevator Superintendent at Farmland (formerly Dannen Mills) for 42 years.
He was a member of Moose Lodge #10, Kansas City, Missouri, American Legion Post 359, and Wyatt Park Baptist Church.
Eddie enjoyed traveling with Melba after their retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents, Bart Lindsey and Eva Mae Paul; brother, Donald Paul; and sisters, Juanita (Paul) Story and Margorie (Paul) Gerlt.
Survivors: sons, Richard “Dick” Paul (Mary Ann), St. Joseph and Donald Paul (Sandie), Perry, Kansas; sister, Delma Burton; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The Family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Friday. The Family suggests memorial gifts to Wyatt Park Baptist Church.
