Wava L. Johnson, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born June 11, 1920 to Jefferson A. and Frances E. (Durbin) Kirby in Pattonsburg, Missouri.
She married Floyd D. Johnson in 1940. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and member of Freeman Chapel Baptist Church. She loved to read and watch the Kansas City Royals.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Iva Jean DeVary.
Survivors: son, Keith Johnson (Sharon and daughter, Linda White (Keith), all of St. Joseph; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 2:00 P.M. Thursday. The Family suggests memorial gifts to Hands of Hope Hospice.
