Mary Louise (Bird) Robertson

1916-2012

 

      Mary Louise (Bird) Robertson, 95, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, June 26, 2011. 

      She was born April 24, 1916 in Skidmore, Missouri to William and Edyth Bird.

      She married James Bryant “Robbie” Robertson at the Bird farm in Fillmore, Missouri May 10, 1936, Mother’s Day.

      During World War II, Robbie and Louise traveled to California.  Louise became a craft artist and Robbie loved the model building industry, so together they owned and operated “Robbie’s Hobby Center” in the Los Angeles area for 50 years.

      Upon retirement in 1996, they moved to Temecula, California to be close to their daughter and her husband, Frank and Rosalyn (Robertson) Brainard.

      Survivors: daughter, Rosalyn (Robertson) Brainard (Frank); two grandchildren, Dawn and Michael; three great-grandsons, Cameron, Dalon, and Cole.

      Graveside Services and Inurnment:  1:00 P.M. Saturday, Memorial Park Cemetery.
