Betty Liechti
1922-2012
Betty Liechti, 90 of Locust Grove, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away May 24, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Georgia. Betty was born on April 12, 1922 to Charles and Mary (Hanke) Mouirguies.
She married Edward J. Liechti on February 20, 1943. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents Charles, Mary Mouirguies; one brother, Donald; and two sisters, Maryann and Carol Mouirguies.
Survivors include son, Gary Liechti and wife Fonda of St. Joseph; daughter, Sherri Abell and husband Lee of Georgia; one brother, Robert Mouirguies of Kansas City; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren
Betty loved to read and watch game shows on TV.
Graveside Services and Inurnment: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Memorial Park Cemetery.
To my loving sister who has departed this place for a much better one – I am so sorry I could not be with you in your last years on this earth but my heart was always with you.
