E. Joann Donahoo, 81, Savannah, Missouri died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born on May 9, 1931 to Hobart Doyle Ball and Edith Willie (Newell) Ball in Gentry County Missouri.
She married Gene F. Donahoo on April 15, 1972. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Mrs. Donahoo worked as a clerk for the State Hospital for 21 years.
She was a member of the Arthritis Swim Class at the YWCA and the past president of the Marine Corp League Lady’s Auxiliary.
Joann enjoyed garage sales, auctions, fishing, playing cards, and arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Ethelda Rodgers.
Survivors: four children, Joyce Newman (Mike), Barbara Tyree, Susan Arn (Dennis) and Steven Thornton (Neva); eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister, Lillian Kendrick; and her cats, Cocoa and Ginger.
Services: 3:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery. The Family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory where friends may call after 2:00 P.M. Thursday. The Family suggests memorial gifts to the Arthritis Foundation.
