Lanny Blake Moon, 52, passed away at his home in Raytown, Missouri, on May 31, 2012.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Eastside Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri.
Lanny was preceded in death by his father, Lavelle Moon.
He leaves his parents, Dean and Donna Axsom; wife, Gladys Moon; sons, Matthew Moon and Lanny Moon; daughter, Dawna Jo Leuty; and three siblings, Sherry Cook, Terry Axsom and Ricky Axsom.
Care provided by Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers the Family suggests memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association.

I have been living abroad for the last 6 months and just today heard of Lanny’s passing. I am sadden at the loss of someone I considered a friend. Lanny was a good man..and loved by many, including myself.
I miss you my friend…I know I have an angel now watching over me in heaven.
I pray for his parents and hope they find solace in knowing that Lanny had so many people that cared so very much for him
