I am very sorry to learn of the passing of my friend Tom. I knew Tom as a fellow radio broadcaster, a fellow historian, and a friend. Tom and I shared many fun hours together at KFEQ Radio on and off the air. Tom loved the good classic country and gospel music and loved to share his knowledge of that music when he was on the air. Tom worked as an important member of our weekend crew at KFEQ. Tom loved history and he knew more about local history, or went out of his way to learn it, wherever he went. Tom was a man with a big heart, a lively mind, and a true friend to the world. We will all miss him. God’s Blessings to Janey and his family. Galen “Gil” Johnson
So sorry to hear about Tom’s passing. Gil let me know and I can’t help but remember when I hired Tom for the all important weekend work at 680/KFEQ Radio.
Tom helped fill those hours…..many times when no one else was interested or available. Tom and I shared many a laugh and got involved in several lively discussions about politics and life in general. Tom was one of the really nice guys I had the pleasure to meet in this business. My thoughts are with his entire family during this difficult time. Bob Orf KFEQ Radio
