Robert “Bob” B. Wood

1929-2012

 

      Robert “Bob” B. Wood, 82, Cosby, Missouri died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at his home. 

      He was born July 18, 1929 to Reginald and Beulah (Beckwith) Wood in Framingham, Massachusetts and raised in Middletown, New Jersey.

      He married Lois Schneider on March 1, 1952.

      Mr. Wood served in the United States Air Corps during the Korean Conflict.

      Bob was a farmer and owned and operated Bob’s Bungalow Service in Savannah, Missouri.

      He was a member of Brookdale Presbyterian Church where he served as a trustee and custodian.

      He enjoyed going on mission trips, gardening and spending time with family and his dogs.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Lynne; and sister, Barbara Brown.

      Survivors: his wife, Lois Wood; two daughters, Leslie (Steve) Saverino and Valerie (Ralph) Dahle; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and his beloved dog, Molly.

      Graveside Services & Interment:  10:00 A.M. Monday, Memorial Park Cemetery.  The Family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.  The Family suggests memorial gifts to Brookdale Presbyterian Mission Fund or Hope UCC in Cosby for missions.

    I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s death. I knew he wasn’t well but not to this point. I am praying for all of you. I do know what you are going through since my dad just died April 30, 2012. Many memories flooded through my mind of times together, especially at the house in Cosby. I hope to be home sometime this week. I’d love to talk to you, 816.294.2646.
