Susan Emma Schatschneider-Miller, 63, Independence, Missouri died Sunday, June 10, 2012.
She was born July 18, 1948 to Harold and Helen (Haller) Schatschneider in Cleveland, Ohio.
She married Donald Miller Aug. 31, 1968.
Susan attended the University of Colorado where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in history.
She was a well known Art Quilter and enjoyed working in her studio teaching her friends new techniques. Her quilts were published in magazines and were shown in some of the country’s biggest quilt shows, to include Houston and Paducah.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Lutheran Church, Ya Ya Sisterhood, Northland Quilt Guild and a Life Master in Bridge.
She was a very loving wife, mother, Oma, aunt, daughter and friend.
Survivors: her husband; 3 daughters, Wendy Miller, Kristina Bernal (Leonardo, Jr.), Deborah Miller and a “daughter” Susan Harrington; 2 grandchildren Aidan and Stella; 3 sisters, Heidi, Liesa and Sherry; 3 brothers, Harold, Kurt and Eric; numerous nieces and nephews; and her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at Faith Lutheran in Avon, Ohio on Saturday June 16th, at 10:30 A.M. Care provided by Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The Family suggests memorial gifts to Project Linus, www.projectlinus.org.
