Eleanor Louise (Frakes) Boyer, 83, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born February 26, 1929 to Thomas Tilford and Iva Elizabeth (Hiatt) Frakes, Sr. in Dekalb, Missouri.
Eleanor married Robert Jewell Boyer October 26, 1949. He preceded her in death January 23, 2007.
Mrs. Boyer worked in banking for First National Bank and Commerce Bank.
She was a member of Huffman Memorial United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Moila Wreckettes, 55 Club at Huffman Memorial United Methodist Church, and she volunteered at the Open-Door Food Kitchen.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elsie and Edith; and brothers, Tilford, Harold, Calvin, and Robert.
Survivors: daughter, Cindy Boyer, Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; son, Kevin Boyer, St. Joseph; granddaughters, Bett Spence and Heather Mann; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Benjamin and Joseph Frakes; sisters, Ruby Panigot, Laura Belle Sampson, and Irma Gill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The Family suggests memorial gifts to Alaska Bible Institute (Mann Ministry), 1295 Mission Road, Homer, AK 99603 or to Huffman Memorial United Methodist Church.
