You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We are positive that Opal will be missed by her family and friends. May you soar with the Eagles and Angels in Heaven!
Opal was a good friend of my mother, Temple Smith. They’re probably having a good chat right now. Sympathy and best wishes to Opal’s family.
Opal worked in the children’s department at Townsend and Wall when I worked there as a teenager. She was such a kind and loving woman. She gave me a cookbook for high school graduation that I use to this very day. I fondly remember Opal and her kindness to me. God is holding her in His arms now. Blessings upon all of you during this time of healing and hope.
Dewayne and Sue Durst says:
Opal was a beautiful person to have known. May our Lord welcome you with open arms. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.
Opal was one of the kindest woman I have ever met. She always had a kind word. Opal, May you soar on Eagles Wings all the way to heaven! You will be missed!
Prayers go out for the family. Sorry that I never got to know your mother or family Donna. I went to school with you at Central and was a good friend of your husband Bill. You and I were on the Outlook together at CHS. Wish we could be there with you.
Just want you to know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I was so sad at first to hear that our sweet Mrs Opal had passed away, but then consoled by the thought that she is no longer suffering and is rejoicing in heaven with her loved ones that have passed before her. Mary and Bertie, you both seem like family to me as did your loving mother. I will remember her always, and hope to still be able to see you girls. Stay strong. Prayers going up.
Mary & Bertie: So sorry to hear about Opal, she was loved by many Eagles. She has been sorely missed by not being able to attend the meetings and socialize with her Eagle friends. Particulary the Past State Presidents. We know that she is in a better place, and can now socialize with the friends that have already passed on. Our prayers go out to you and the rest of her family at this time.
Naida Dunn, chairperson of the Past State Auxiliary Presidents, F.O.E.
Hi
I remember your Mother….very nice and attractive lady.
You and I would walk home from Edison
together. Saturdays we rode the bus or
walked to Krug Park.
I loved visiting your Father’s fish
tanks. But they just died at my house.
So sorry for you and your family at this time.
YOU ARE ALL IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
Donna and Carl my thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
Know that your mother is in a better place now. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Sincerely, Linda Hirter Drollinger
Thank you all for sharing your prayers, condolences and special memories. It’s such a comfort to know that she had so many wonderful friends. Bless you all.
