Virginia T. Zach, St. Joseph, Missouri died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at her home.
She was born November 22, 1915 to George and Helen (Girard) Thompson.
She married Alfred Zach on December 24, 1944.
She was an interior decorator and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Ron Zach in 1974.
Survivors: her husband; daughter, Linda Zach, Richardson, Texas; brother, George Thompson, Overland Park, Texas.
Graveside Services and Interment:) 10:00 A.M. Monday, Mount Auburn Cemetery. The Family suggests memorial gifts to Arthritis Foundation or charity of donor’s choice.
I was so saddened to hear of Virginia’s passing on Wednesday. Virginia’s friendship with my mother and father has been something they have always treasured over the years. I still remember with fondness the “ship” wallpaper she picked for my parents hallway in their former home. Virginia had such wonderful ideas and taste when it came to design. Linda, I was so sorry to hear of your Moms death. I understand the emptiness it leaves when a child looses a parent. A void that with time begins to be filled with fond & happy memories. Your Mom was always such a sweet & kind person. I’m sure she touched many lives & will be missed by many. Please know you & your father are in my thoughts & prayers ….
