I was filled with great sadness when I learned of Evelyn’s passing. My earliest memmories included Evelyn and her children. She was my mother’s dearest friend and her daughter Kathryn is my dearest friend. When I looked at old photos I see Evelyn and I’m always then filled with great joy. She was at every birthday party my sisters and I had. She was very beautiful. She was by my side when I lost my parents. When ever I saw Evelyn she would always have a story to tell me about her and my mom. Those stories made me laugh, cry, and thankful my mom had such a great friend. When my twin and I were born, the first thing my mom said to the nurse was “tell Bill (my dad) to call Evelyn. Evelyn had twins, Kathryn and Kieth a few months before my birth. My mom, (not to be out done) by Evelyn followed suit by having twins too. Ha! Ha!
I will never forget Evelyn and she will always live on in my heart. May she rest in peace.
