Edward “Mike” Klein, Jr.
1947-2012

Edward “Mike” Klein, Jr., 65, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away June 30, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
He was born February 21, 1947 to Edward Michael and Lillian Maxine (Howery) Klein, Sr. in St. Joseph.
Mike married Martha A. Slater on April 6, 1996.  She survives of the home.
He worked for the St. Joseph City Transit for 38 years. 
Mike liked model trains and crewel needle point.  He also enjoyed building and working with his garden pond and was an avid camper.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is also survived by his children, Theresa Wright (Allen), Savannah, MO, Timothy Klein (Stephanie), Savannah, MO; step-children, Beth Slater, St. Joseph, MO, Diane Slater, St. Joseph, MO, Chad Slater, Kansas City; brother, Randy Klein (Donna), St. Joseph, MO and 12 grandchildren.
Services 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.  Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Wyatt Park Christian Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
