Richard E. Stadalman, Sr., 76, Mound City, Missouri died Monday, July 9, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri.
He was born October 28, 1935 to Roy William and Esther Frances (Laukemper) Stadalman in Bigelow, Missouri.
He married Clara Curnutt on April 16, 1954.
Mr. Stadalman worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation in the Highway Department.
Richard enjoyed gardening and fishing in Minnesota. He was known as the “Veggie King”.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; and sister.
Survivors: his wife, Clara Stadalman; two sons, Richard Stadalman, II. (Misty), Mound City and Jeffery Stadalman (Diana), Lake Elsinore, California; one daughter, Patricia Shaw (Larry), Pittsboro, Indiana; three grandchildren, Claire, Megan and Kcey; three sisters, Margery Patterson, St. Joseph, Frances Wilson, St. Joseph and Betty Heck (Wayne), Mound City; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service and Interment: 10:00 A.M. Friday, Pettijohn Mount Hope Cemetery. The Family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, Pettijohn & Crawford Family Funeral Service, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday. The Family suggests memorial gifts to the Nutrition Site, Mound City, Missouri.
