Jo Ann Morrison
1929-2012
Jo Ann Morrison, 83, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at a local health care facility.
She was born on July 4, 1929 to Claud A. and Lois C. (Moeck) Rush.
Jo Ann married Harold G. Morrison on September 3, 1949.
Mrs. Morrison was a dental assistant and clerk at Belcher’s Tax Service. She was also a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of First Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 62 years, Harold.
Survivors: her daughter, Claudia Daum (Jeff), St. Joseph, Missouri; son, Thomas R. Morrison (Kathy), Lenexa, Kansas; three grandsons, Brennan, Hunter, and Scott; brother, Robert E. Rush (LuRay); and several nieces and nephews.
Services 1:30 P.M. Thursday, First Lutheran Church, St. Joseph, Missouri. Care provided by Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The Family suggests memorial gifts to First Lutheran Church or Hands of Hope Hospice.
We are sorry for your loss but the bright spot is, they are together again, praise God. May you always enjoy your beautiful memories of both of them.

Much joy and laughter of old stories/memories is what I treasure most of all. Her last “I love you, too” is and will be deep-rooted forever. Enjoy your life beyond, Aunt JoJo, and say hello to everyone you were longing to see again. You will be missed here on earth.

Claudia & Tom I’m so glad I was able to visit and share old times with your mother. We did some crazy things when young. But good times. I’ve wondered if mom still had the small picture I painted of Tom and Skoshe ?? the cat.

Jo Ann was a wonderful person, she always made us laugh. She and Harold were the perfect couple, we always enjoyed seeing them! Jo Ann was such a great friend and neighbor to Granny too! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

It’s never easy to say good bye to our parents. We both experienced the unexpected and the imminent demise of our parents, and both are just as painful. The memories of the strong family ties will forever remain in our hearts. I am sure they continue to watch over us and guide us. In speaking to Aunt Jo Ann recently, she was still joking and carefree as always. She will be missed and I will treasure my pictures and memories forever! Hugs and kisses to all of you! Spending time with JoAnn was like spending time with my own mom, whom I miss dearly every day.! She was so full of spunk and a tough cookie, with such a funny sence of humor that always had me laughing!! Claudia, Tom and Families. I was so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. My prayers go out to all of you as you pull strength from great memories of your mom and dad to help you through this difficult time. I am so glad that I was able to talk to your mom recently.
