William “Bill” Letts, 83, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 7, 1929 to Claude and Grace Marie (Bonner) Letts in St. Joseph, Missouri.

William married Leda B. Hoke on January 5, 1952.

Mr. Letts served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He later owned a brake and muffler shop.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dolores Stephenson.

Survivors: his wife, Leda B. Letts, St. Joseph; daughter, Pam Arn (Ken), St. Joseph; Step-Son, Michael Frump (Lisa), Amazonia, Missouri; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Claudine Burns and Rosalie Peterson (Harlan); and numerous nieces and nephews.
