Joseph V. “Joe” Simpson, 92, Gower, Missouri died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at a healthcare facility in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He was born October 6, 1920 to William and Lydia Simpson in Parkville, Missouri.
Joe married Betty Waterman on September 14, 1947. She survives of the home.
He was a member of First Christian Church of Plattsburg, Missouri and Farm Bureau.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; three sisters; and one grandchild.
Survivors: wife, Gower, Missouri; sons, Wayne Simpson (Judy), Mt. Washington, Kentucky, and Vernon Simpson, St. Joseph, Missouri; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
