Shawn Sisco



Shawn Sisco, 37, St. Joseph, Missouri died Monday, April 7, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 6, 1976 to Lonnie and Deborah (Hammers) Sisco in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Shawn enjoyed music, playing guitar, fishing and boating. He loved spending time with his friends, but especially his sons. He had an amazing sense of humor, but also a serious side as he was a strong advocate of Narcotics Anonymous and helped many through the program. He loved God and also helping people. He was a wonderful father, son, grandson, uncle and friend that will be forever missed.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Brooke McKinney; brother, Donnie Sisco; and grandparents, Lee and Nancy Hammers, Eula Miller and Donald Sisco.

Survivors: children, Mason and Caelan McKinney; parents; brother, Ryan Sisco (Christy); niece, Brooklynn Sisco; nephews, Austin Schmitt and Parker Hasiak; grandparents, Steven Miller and Dixie Sisco; numerous aunts and uncles; and his beloved dog, Ellie.

Services:  1:00 P.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M.     Our condolences to the Sisco (Hammer) family for this sudden loss, Shawn and I had some fun times playing video games, slam dunk contests in his drive, home run derbies/ pick up football games in the yard, or just a simple game of catch. As we went our separate ways in high school, we were able to reconnect for a while on social media. He was a great friend, and I know he will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
