Thomas Goodloe

Thomas Goodloe, 61, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017, at his home.
He was born October 2, 1956, to Percy, Sr., and Mary Ella (Price) Goodloe. Thomas graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of North Alabama, where he was a drum major in the band.
Thomas retired after working in meat packing as well as at Bioclinic.
Thomas enjoyed quilting, cooking, decorating, embroidering, crocheting, fishing, traveling, and modeling. He was an avid gardener and great orator with a wonderful sense of humor. Thomas was full of life and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was also very honest and would tell you the truth whether you wanted to hear it or not.
Throughout his life, Thomas was dedicated to his faith and worked in the church, specifically the music ministry. He was also the best usher around. Thomas was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, St. Joseph, Missouri. Before that, he was a member and worked at Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church, Baldwyn, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; brother, Percy Goodloe, Jr., Florence, Alabama; sister, Hattie Dearworth, Baldwyn, Mississippi; brother, Michael C. Goodloe (Phyllis), Valdosta, Georgia; sister, Jacqueline Pollard (William), Verona, Mississippi; a very special nephew he helped raise, P.F.C. Quiendarius J. Salters; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
