Obituary for Dennis W. Constant

Dennis Wayne Constant, born November 21, 1978, died April 23, 2018 at Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph, MO. Dennis was a skilled carpenter with a bright spirit and helpful heart. He could light up the room when he walked in and crush you with his infamous bear hug infused with the aroma of sawdust and sunshine.

His son Kolton Constant was the light of his life. Kolton has many very fond memories of his father, the best was playing guitar together, especially worship music, which always brought Dennis to tears. Kolton has a fond memory of a camping trip that he and Dennis shared. There was grilling, boating and quality time spent between the two.

Dennis and his partner of 12 years, Daleana Sechler, resideded in St. Joseph. She was his best friend. They had a large extended family and they loved doing everything together; from camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, rafting and the famous backyard grilling.

Dennis’s love for family was strong, and he had plenty to give to all of his extended families. Dennis and his mother had a tight bond -two peas in a pod- sometimes too close for comfort. He and his brothers Ryan and Michael, fondly remembered as the buzz brothers, were good friends and companions. Through it all, even the sometimes ornery and peppery attitude and strong will, he was loved by all who knew him. And in his words, he would want us all to “Forget About It!” A casual remembrance service will be held at the Gazebo at the Parnell City Park, on Friday Morning April 27, 2018 at 11am officiated by Pastor Tim Champ from the Troy Christian Church.

Dennis was preceded in death by his Father, Rodger Constant. He is survived by his mother, Dona M. Constant, son Kolton Wayne Constant, brothers Michael Gaglio (RubyAnn) of Texas and Ryan Constant (Tasha Quimby) of Maryville MO, and grandmother Pauline Constant of Denver CO, as well as his extended family the Farquhar’s.
