James W. “Jim” Doyle
1922-2017

James W. “Jim” Doyle, 95, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 12, 2017, at Vintage Gardens in St. Joseph.
He was born May 18, 1922, to James Crawford and Ines B. (Fraizer) Doyle in Weston Missouri. He was a banker for over 60 years.
Jim married Stellveta Benson on May 15, 1944. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2001.
He was a member of Gideon International and the Assemblies of God denomination. The family thanks Three Rivers Hospice, Vintage Gardens of St. Joseph, Mosaic Life Care 2 East, and all friends and family for their thoughts and prayers, care and support during Jim’s short illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; Jim Everitt, grandson; and sister, Margaret Doyle.
Survivors include his daughters, Candy Short (Richard), St. Joseph, and Becky Wyre (Rex), Carbondale, Kansas; grandchildren, April Haenni (John), Aaron Short, and Katy Everitt; great-grandchildren, Abby, Alex, and Titan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Flowers are appreciated and for those wishing to make a contribution, the family requests they be made to Gideon International or Three Rivers Hospice.
