John A. Cooper

John Anthony Cooper, 68, Rosendale, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at LaVerna Village, Savannah, Missouri.
He was born September 22, 1949, to Charles Francis and Oleva Belle (Nelson) Cooper in St. Joseph.
John married Kathy Suzanne Steidel on August 1, 1970. They were married 47 years, and she survives of the home.
He was a meter reader at St. Joseph Power & Light for 27 years.
John was of the Christian faith. He loved his family more than anything on earth. He loved sports and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Survivors include his wife; children, Teresa Cooper DeSpain (Lloyd) and Julie Cooper Enochs; grandchildren, Preston, Devyn, Rebekah, Hunter, and Montana; siblings, Joan Knapp (Roger), Dolores Reynozo (Richard), Charles L. Cooper, and Susan Pashik; beloved fur baby, Molly; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. John never met a stranger.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, St. Joseph. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
