Lloyd Bert Ferguson, Jr.
1949-2018

Lloyd Bert Ferguson, Jr., 68, St. Joseph, Missouri, left this world May 7, 2018 at Mosaic Hospital following a long illness.
He was the son of Lloyd Bert Ferguson, Sr. and Virginia Smith Ferguson, born in St. Joseph, Missouri on August 24, 1949.
Lloyd graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph, Missouri graduating in May 1968. Following graduation he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served until his retirement in 1983. Lloyd served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Following his military retirement he was employed by the State of Missouri Department of Corrections and retired in 2004.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Diane of the home; daughter, Lori of North Carolina; sister, Patricia Moran; step-son, Jay Patterson (Leanne), Stewartsville, Missouri; step-daughter, Vicki Patterson, St. Joseph, Missouri; 3 step-grandsons, Ethan, William and Michael; two step-granddaughters, Christiana and Serafina; two step-great-grandsons, Jackson and Erza Patterson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Farewell Services 1:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations to the Disabled American Veterans in care of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
