Mable Lucille Smith

Mable Lucille Smith, 98, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017, at Mosaic Life Care.
She was born September 17, 1919 in Fillmore, Missouri to Cordie and Florence (Roberts) Lemmon.
Mable married Herman Smith on September 8, 1939; he preceded her in death on April 12, 1993.
She graduated from Lafayette High School and retired from St. Joseph Cleaning Co. Mable was a member of Savannah Avenue Baptist Church, Senior Citizens Bowling League, Sewing Bees at Westchester Villiage, and past member of Northside Lioness Club.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marjorie Violett; great grandson, Ethan Koster and step-father, Marvin Lance.
Survivors include sons, Larry Smith (Marilyn), St. Joseph, Missouri, Wayne Smith (Lynn), St. Joseph, Missouri, Jimmy Smith (Jackie), Las Vegas, Nevada, Dennis Smith (Gail), St. Joseph, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to United Cerebral Palsy. Online guest book and obituary at
