Marvin C. Kempf
1932-2017

Marvin C. Kempf, 85, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017.
He was born January 21, 1932 to Bernard and Vita (Smith) Kempf.
Marvin married Reba Parsley August 29, 1952, she preceded him in death. He later married Betty Sharp August 11, 1983, she survives of the home.
He was a member of Patee Park Baptist Church, American Legion Pony Express Post, King Hill Lodge #356, Scottish Rite 32 degree Mason, High 12, DeMolay and Masonic Lincoln Lodge #138.
Marvin produced his own carp bait “Marvin’s Carp Bait”, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; sons, Stephen and Mark Kempf; sister, Deloris Farley.
Additional survivors include daughter, Judy Myers (Buzz); sons, Steven (Stacy) and David D.(UnSuk)Sharp; grandchildren, Christopher Koller (Shardon), Shari Garrity (Robert), Katie Hamaker (Matthew), Troy Myers (Julie), Jacky and Grace Sharp, Cody and Taylor Swinney; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Charles Kempf (Joan); sisters, Neva Kempf and Joyce White.
Farewell Services 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Patee Park Baptist Church. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
