Lloyd James “Jim” Pitts

Lloyd James “Jim” Pitts, 73, lifetime resident of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017.
He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Still living are his 2 daughters, Juana Jones (Garry) and Jodi Moore (Len); 3 granddaughters that he loved very much, Lexi Moore, Joci Geary and Britne Misner; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Donna Lane.
After his wife passed away he found a loving partner, Cathy Williams, whom he adored. She has 2 daughters with children that he also adored, Jennifer Stark and Heather Thomas.
Jim was a retired Police Officer of 25 years. He was also an employee of the St. Joseph School District for 17 years. He loved his jobs, and loved life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Pitts; father, Arthur Pitts; mother, Mable (Lucas) Pitts; sisters, Opal and Loretta Sample. Farewell Services 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
