Myrtle M. Hines
1922-2017

Myrtle M. Hines, 95, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the Living Community of St. Joseph.
She was born July 21, 1922, to Joseph and Hazel (Burnhart) Vaughn in Savannah, Missouri.
Myrtle was a production specialist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She was also a member of the First Christian Church of Savannah, First Christian Church Quilters, and the Sew Mor Club. Myrtle was in the Heartland Health Club, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #223, and the Moose Lodge No. 315.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, and playing the organ.
Myrtle was first married to Chester Brigham, and is survived by a step-daughter, Patricia Schmidt (Christopher) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She then married Lloyd Hines in January 1965. He preceded her in death in 1998. Survivors include her step-son, Wayne Hines (Elena), of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Eric; and great-grandson, Cole.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to service, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
