Roberta Hunt

Roberta Hunt, 68, Liberty, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Liberty Hospital.
She was born March 13, 1949 to Virgil and Beulah (Brown) Fore in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Roberta married Willard “Bill” Hunt on February 18, 1994; he preceded her in death on December 20, 2008.
She worked for American Family Insurance as a work compensation manager and recently retired. Roberta loved playing the piano and taught lessons for years. She also owned a laundry mat and could fix a washer on her own. Roberta loved crocheting and shopping, her favorite pastime was camping and being outdoors. She was a 19 year breast cancer survivor, something dear to her was to participate in the Susan G. Komen walk every year.
Roberta was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include 2 sons, Greg Gillahan (Tage), Jeff Kimes (Beatrice); 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Jean Davis (Jim), Jane Heldenbrand (Harold); her extended family, David Denney (Staci), Jordan Decker (Dalton), Maddie Denney, Lisa Baker, Julie Gabriel, and her beloved dog, Teeger.
Farewell Services 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Mosaic Life Care at St. Joseph - Breast Cancer Center or Friends of the Animal Shelter.
