Rosalie Eaton Riley

Rosalie Riley went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 23, 2018.
Rosalie was born August 15, 1926, on her grandfather’s farm in Sullivan County, the daughter of Alva and Vera Geraldine Eaton.
On November 13, 1945, she married T.C. Riley, Jr., her high school sweetheart. She was a graduate of Benton High School. She and T.C. farmed in the Lake Contrary area for over 60 years. She worked as secretary to the sales manager at Armour and Co. for 22 years. Rosalie and T.C. traveled widely doing craft shows with her business, Rosalie’s Potpourri.
Rosalie was a member of King Hill Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and worked in the bus ministry. She later joined Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church where she and T.C. served their later years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, T.C. Riley, Jr.; her parents; her in-laws, Thomas and Nellie Riley; her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Bob Hale; her sister and brother-in-law, Malvin and Lorraine Jackson, and Warren Albers.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mike Bowers; two granddaughters and their families: Stephanie and Brien Evans, Nicolas and Katie Evans, Jennifer and Charles Pusser, Olivia and Andrew Pusser; sister-in-law, Jeanne Albers; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will gather with friends 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Flowers are appreciated and for those wishing to make a contribution, the family requests they be made to Wycliffe Bible Translators.
