Sarretta F. Cooper

Sarretta F. Cooper, age 81 went to be with the Lord, after her courageous battle with cancer, at home on Friday, March 2nd, in San Antonio, Texas. Born in St. Joseph, Missouri February 15, 1937 to parents Milton F. and Lula Lyon. In January 1956 she married Wayne R. Cooper. Over the years they resided in Missouri, Texas, Kansas and Colorado. After Wayne's passing, Sarretta relocated to San Antonio, TX where she gained an entire second family of friends. She was a member of Community Bible Church of San Antonio, active in her Sunday school class, bible study and a faithful greeter. Along with her church family, she enjoyed many friends, including her weekly mahjong group. She was devoted to the service of others with her career in nursing. She had many interests some of which were painting and art. Her greatest love was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton F. Lyon and Lula Van Sickle Lyon; husband, Wayne R. Cooper, and granddaughter, Kortney Cooper. Sarretta is survived by her sons, Ross N. Cooper (David Hennecke), Kevin K. Cooper (Karen); grandchildren, Kody W. Cooper (Deirdre), Katlin M. (Cooper) Sullins (John), Kasandra S. Cooper; six great-grandchildren plus two on the way; brothers, Gene Lyon (Lois), Bill Lyon (Janet) and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and her beloved dog, Sadie.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mission Aviation Fellowship for Brock and Lisa Larson Missionaries, PO Box 47, Nampo, ID 83653.
