William J. “Bill” Kurtz
1940-2018

William J. “Bill” Kurtz, 78, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Mosaic Life Care.
He was born February 20, 1940, to Lewis A. and Ruby Faye (Richardson) Kurtz in Oregon, Missouri.
William married Margot Knospe on October 25, 1963. She survives of the home.
He was an Air Force Master Sergeant, retiring after 26 years, and a member of the Air Force Sergeant’s Association. He also worked at Reardon Machine Company for 20 years.
William was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Viola Fern Gordon (Connie) and Ramona Hinde.
Survivors include his wife; son, Bernd Kurtz (Sonia); daughter, Petra Worley (Mike); grandchildren, Sean, Kyle, and Luke Worley, and Bernd Kurtz II; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Kurtz (Anita); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Farewell Services 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
